Thulani Tshlatswayo, Daylon Claasen to name a few have competed in the tournament and continued the successful careers in football.

The tournament is not only seen as a football event but as an educational platform to empower the youth on HIV and AIDS, Gangsterism, Violence against Women, Racism, Alcohol and drug abuse. Various workshops are held during the 6 days of the tournament addressing these social challenges.

JL Zwane uses Sport to address many social anomalies and we aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of our youths by using football as a holistic picture of social development.

Our journey to the tournament started with preliminary play offs where we successfully won our three matches to progress to proper play offs. The play offs where structured in groups of four teams where the top two teams of each group would officially qualify for the Metropolitan Premier cup 2015. We played three matches where we won two and drew one resulting in us being crowned group winners and qualifying for the 2015 tournament.

As a team we had various challenges, lack of attire, physiotherapist, goalkeeper coach, nutritionist and transport. However the endeavour of each member of our team and the camaraderie within our entire group resulted in us achieving our objectives.

The management with support of all members and stakeholders, aims to address these challenges by requesting support and sponsorship in order to provide a culture of professionalism  going into our planning and build up to the tournament proper. Professionalism is the basis to successful institutions, teams and individuals.

We aim to provide the team with the best qualified coaches ( Assistant Coach and a Goalkeeper Coach) who can fast track and prepare the team for the tournament, we also intend to ensure all administration processes is professionally dealt with by appointing a Team Manager,  A conditioning coach to ensure the team is football fit, Physiotherapist to attend to all injuries , to consult a nutritionist on diet requirements for the players with the team having to play two games a day, a kit man to ensure all training equipment and playing kit are checked and prepared on a daily basis. To ensure the above mentioned technical team members facilitate high performance training methods our equipment required are off the utmost importance i.e. balls, bibs, water bottles, beacons and an adequate training facility.

Being a prestigious tournament, presentations of the players are of the highest standards with regards to apparel.  We hope we can provide the same for JL Zwane with tracksuits, t-shirts, golf t-shirts, managers and players jackets and playing kit.
We would therefore request any sponsorship or donations to provide JL Zwane with a memorable Metropolitan Premier Cup 2015.
